First of all I just want to say thank you to everyone on this site...I've already learned a ton, and I've only been browsing the site for a day or two.

I've been in Iraq for six months and I miss beer more than anything except my wife and my dog...

I've thought about brewing my own beer since I could drink it, but now I'm pretty serious about it, and to be honest I'm probably going to get a mr. beer kit(i know) to try it out. I already have too much junk from my other hobby, jeeps, and I don't want to take up too much space. So anyway I just wanted to join and be able to search the site and say thanks for all the info!

Cheers:mug:

When you get back, you should find a few local home-brewers in your area and invite yourself to watch them the next time they boil/bottle a batch. It'll get you hooked and I'm sure just any of us would be glad to be the home-brewer to welcome home a fellow American who has served in the desert.

You can't drink a jeep. ;)

Hey there, I am over here in Afghanistan and can't wait to get back and brew. You can find lots of help here on the site. If you can't find someone to watch brew when you get home I have a ton of books I can send your way to help you out some. Get back safe.

give those wacko sand vermin HELL !!!! and if you ever come through Norfolk, i live 2 miles from the Little Creek Amphib base. stop in for a homebrew or to watch us brew.
