Hi All.
So my neighbor wants to brew a Honey Porter specialty grain & extract kit.
One warm winter day not so long ago my neighbor came over as my brother & I were cooking up one of our first all-grain brews. After sampling a few of my previous extract successes he decided that he would like to give home brewing a try for himself and asked if I would mentor him with his first homebrew adventure. I was elated for the invite.
Today, he handed over $46 and told me that he'd picked out his first recipie, a Samual Adams style Honey Porter extract w/specialty grain kit from our LHBS. Since my neighbor has never brewed before and has no equipment, we will be using my equipment.
As you know I am a greenhorn all-grain brewer. I don't claim to know all their is to know about all grain brewing but I have a new Barley Crusher that's just begging to be used.
Should I go ahead an assist him with his first extract or talk him into a more exciting and possibly overwhelming all-grain brewday
