Hey all, I searched and saw a few threads about green bottles and having the beer get skunky, but it was a pretty mixed review. Anybody have more insight on this? I always store the bottles in the basement out of direct light and cover them completely until they make it to the fridge. I would think I'll be ok, but am interested to hear what others have experienced.

Thanks!

Just keep on doing what your doing and your green bottles will be OK. I use to use the green grolsch bottles all the time and never had an issue.

If you cover them it shouldnt matter. The only thing you are trying to eliminate is exposure to light. Doesn't matter how you achieve it, dark bottles or covering with something else..

I use green bottle all the time. Makes it easy to see how the bottle conditioning is going. But, like the post above stated....just keep the bottles in the dark....no worries...
