I had been tracking the prices on the Kill-a-Watt EZ and Belkin Conserve Insight for a while now, because I've wanted to know what it cost to run my homemade keezer and my temperature controlled fermentor on a monthly basis. The Conserve Insight recently dropped pretty low last week to $20 delivered (with $25 order at Amazon), so I pulled the trigger. I just saw that it dropped again today to under $17, so if you're looking for an energy use monitor, this is the lowest price in history for the item.
Now that I have it, I'm using it on everything. How much does my kegerator cost to run? What about the beer fridge? TV? Stereo? Subwoofer? Computer? Lamp? Washing machine? The list goes on...
