Hey guys, a friend of mine sent me a link to this article in the Times about the moment in the (near) future when computers will be as intelligent (and infinitely more intelligent) than humans. It's 5 pages long, but well worth the read.

The link isn't working for me. Is this that Kurzweil cover story? IMO, it's just hype to sell magazines. Not that computers wont make strides, but "2045: The Year Man Becomes Immortal" sounds like sheer hype.

Try reading Asimov. You'll get your fill of robot/computer self-awareness. I Robot collection is a good place to start.
