I'm thinking of just getting a grainfather overflow pipe for my diy brewery, but the locking nut seems vastly overpriced for what it is. Does anyone know if uses a common thread size?

Try brewhardware.com. 1/2 NPT SS locknut is $4. Plus shipping, of course. I think they might do overseas shipping.
 
Hi there. How did you get on with a replacement standard nut. Have just washed mine down the drain duh.….. And the new GF replacement ones are pretty overpriced for what is basically a nut. Thanks.
