I have been using extracts for my brews but i want to move onto grain now. What are the basic pieces of equipment that i need?

Main thing you'll probably want to get is a Mash-Lauter Tun (MLT). You'll also want to make sure you have a few pots for boiling strike and sparging water and for collecting run-offs for the boil. Other misc items you'll want include a long handled spoon / mash paddle, a big cup or pitcher for recirculating, and a thermometer that you can throw in the mash.

An easy way to make a MLT is to convert a picnic cooler. I made mine from an igloo 5 gal cylindrical style beverage cooler.

go down to the all-grain decoction link. you don't have to do decoction mash. you can do a sigle infusion w/ the same exact set-up.
