So I want to start with a 2 keg system, and probably pick up a third corny in the process. I've got it narrowed down to these two systems:

2 Keg Basic Keg Kit, Dispenses two kegs at once! (Separate Check Valves!)

Dual Cornelius Keg System with 5 lb. CO2 tank (comes empty) :: Midwest Supplies Homebrewing and Winemaking Supplies

After shipping, midwest totals out at $5 more. However, it looks like the regulator on the midwest package allows separate pressure in each keg? I've heard good things about both kits in my research here. Any advice on which one to go with, since the cost difference is basically negligible?

It looks like you do get a dual pressure regulator from midwest. So all other things equal, it would be a better kit.

That said I started with a kit from Keg Connection and it was great as well...

I didn't check the links, but if what you said is true, it's definitely worth the $5. I like being able to serve/force carb with out having to connect/disconnect. You can always add Y's with shutoffs, but you have more expandability in the future with the dual regulator.

I would go with the kit from midwest. For the extra 17 bucks you get a secondary regulator which is awesome, and very useful. You can set one side to serving pressure, and one side to force carb. pressure. If you were to buy a secondary regulator to go along with the keg connection kit, it would run you another $35-50 bucks.

I agree, midwest, but I am not expert. I do know that midwest is taking a while to ship their stuff out this time of the year. It took 4+ days to get mine shipped, then the shipping takes a number of days to NY, so hope you aren't looking to get this in just a few days.

I bought that exact kit from midwest over the summer. I had to tighten all of the hose clamps to prevent leaks, and had to RMA the regulator because the gauge faces were bowed so much that it was preventing the hand from moving any higher than 20 PSI. But, with all that said their customer service was very good and got me a new regulator quickly. All-in-all, I am very happy. As mentioned above, the dual-body regulator is a BIG plus if you plan to force carb at all.

Thanks for the feedback! It looks like the midwest kit is the way to go.

So if I were to pick up a third corny, would I only need extra beer line/gas line and a 'T' connector for the gas? Is it that easy to add an extra keg to a setup like this?

I bought from keg connection and was hppy myself but the one from midwest looks wayyyy better. You could throw a couple adaptors on there and force carb a couple and serve a couple all at once! Way ore versatile and considering what I've experienced and heard about both retailers I'd say its an easy choice.
