Anyone have any suggestions for a red (cab, malbec, zin) that is good after 9-10 months?

Most of the stuff i've read about the higher end kits talks about coming around in 1-2 years but we'd like to make wine from a kit for our wedding next fall.

Not expecting world class wine but something that is fully enjoyable for a wide range of wine drinkers that we can proudly say we made.

I did an Australian Cab (winexpert) that everyone, including myself, says is fantastic. I started handing it out after 6 months. I bulk aged it for a couple months and let it rest in the bottle a month or so. There was an amazing change in that time. I had to start a second batch. This one wasn't top of the line and didn't have skins but is still very good but I think it comes down to individual tastes.

Whew that's a lot to type/say. But I made this to give to my wifes boss as a wedding present and gave it to them at 6 months after making it. Very drinkable, and it got better over another 6 months. Probally a wine that appeals to many folks too!

thanks for the recs -

based off what I dug up in misc forums we are going to do the RJS Cellar Classics Winery Super Tuscan
