be careful, most of the blue co2 tanks i see are branded with pepsi's name. most places will not fill them and it is illegal to own them.

i would shoot him an email to ask if they have "pepsi" stamped on them.

plus it has 2 days left. no one bids until the last few minutes.

Branding smanding.... That's easily removed/covered up! +1 on good deal if you live locally (You bought them legally, so you can be ignorant about possible pepsi ownership as well)

Ive purchased from the seller before,

they were a thumbs up to deal with even with some slip ups with UPS.

I scored 2 cornies and a 20LB co2 (exacty as pictured) for around 50 after shipping. (great deal as kegs are scarce to comeby here in canada, or at least it seems, anything under 30/keg is a deal).

although the co2 tank was out of date, it needed to be recertified. it was stamped '96.

Receiving stolen property is a crime in (as far i know) all states. I know it is in New York. Because they are marked you can be charged with the crime.

As far as removing the branding, how does one do that? let us say someone i know has a 15# tank, how would i cover that up? ... i mean purely hypothetical. i don't have one in my basement or anything.

rough it up a little, tape it off and apply some spray paint primer... then coat it with a spray paint color of your choice... blackboard could be cool...

A lot of restraunts still carry the pepsi kegs. I was at the bottling warehouse in regina the other day. They had semi's full of kegs. I had really good luck with chinese food restraunts. Any stores that aren't franchised or wide spread will normally still carry kegs. (a friend...) got 2 kegs for $20 each. Rinsed them out with water. I'll sterilize them before putting beer in them(for him...). The seals on them looked brand new!
