I pay £25 for 50lbs of grain.
I found a contact today who can get me it £10 for 50lbs from a brewery.

I also for a return flight to Africa for £124 and a room at £8 a night.

Plus I booked for Venice again over Christmas. (I thought I best take SWMBO this time)

Africa? Venice? What a rube! I'm going to Oklahoma for the holidays baby! :D

Sounds like a good deal on the grain, too. What is that in USD, like $85 or so? J/K, man, nice score!

O.K. I've got to ask. Orfy, what do you do for a living? Are you independently wealthy? How are you able to get off work to take so many holidays a year?

I'd swap you Florence or Venice for Oklahoma :)
The grain works out at around $17 for 50lbs or about $3.50 per batch.

Haha, If I was independantly wealthy do you think I'd be building an all grain system from scrap bits for £68!

I'm lucky at the moment (sort of) I have plenty of spare time.

I'm in a very stressful job and can work hard and earn a very good wage.
But I decided that I didn't want a nervous break down or heart attack so I've turned the burners down for a few months (and earn an lower wage but am only working at 30% capacity).

I can't do it for too much longer so I'm taking advantage why I can.

It takes a wise man to make that choice, and a good wife to let him do it...salut!

Too true. Stressful careers aren't worth it IMHO...life is too short, means to an ends (blah, blah, blah and so on). Gotta have the quality time for brewing!
