I'm a fan of some good, cheap wine (GCW). Nothing better for a movie on the couch. My friend suggested I try the Little Penguin brand since I like Yellowtail, and I must say it's quite good. She was telling me about it and showed me http://www.penguinpartyfowl.com/ which I thought was cute and pretty funny (in case anyone felt like checking it out). But I was wondering if anyone else had a GCW that they rely on.

Ste. Chappell makes a good merlot and cabernet. Their special harvest is the best though.

I used to get "two-buck" Chuck's (Charles Shaw wines) at Trader Joe's, but I don't drink wine much any more. Their Merlot was quite nice.

i started with a product called wonder wine which is powdered fruit flavours
such as loganberry, or crystals to make red or white "wines" at a cost of 3.99 canadian to make 1 gallon batches in about 6 weeks.
my wife still likes it once in a while in between the good stuff
