I am working on a recipe for a light dry golden summer ale, I am not brewing to any particular style guidelines.
I have come up with the following grain bill and hop additions but, I am undecided as to what yeast to use. The way I see it I could probably achieve the right dryness with a Saison or a Kolsch yeast, but I'm also tempted by an English Ale yeast like White Labs 002, (which I have harvested from a recent batch of oatmeal stout).

GRAIN BILL
% Weight Weight (lbs) Grain
75.0% 6.00 American Two-row Pale
12.5 % 1.00 American Wheat
6.3 % 0.50 Belgian Biscuit
6.3 % 0.50 Belgian Aromatic

HOP ADDITIONS
% Wt Weight (oz) Hop Form AA% AAU Boil Time
50.0 % 1.00 East Kent Goldings Pellet 5.0 5.0 60
12.5 % 0.25 Bramling Cross Pellet 6.5 1.6 15
37.5 % 0.75 Bramling Cross Pellet 6.5 4.9 0

I would love to hear your thoughts.

I'm thinking of doing something similar to this, perhaps along the lines of an English summer ale. I was thinking of biscuit or aromatic, maybe some Vienna, light on hops and fruity esters from 002/1968. I'm really just looking to do a pale session beer that highlights malt flavors and some english esters. Did you ever brew this?
