Well, going for my first all grain batch today, a clone of Jamils Evil Twin, on of my favorite beers these days.

I slept terrible last night, kept worrying about water temps, mash temps, water volume, efficiency, etc..!! Feel like it was the night before my first child was born

I've done 4 extract batches in the past 3 weeks, so I felt it was time to make the jump to all grain. Wish me luck!

Good for you. Much easier and less intimidating than it looks and sounds. Not much luck involved, but have a lot of fun and good luck anyway....

Just make sure you understand the mashing, sparging, etc processes before you start. It's fairly easy, but greater care must be taken to ensure a good final product.

Thanks guys. Well, I think I have the basics figured out, and I'm going to batch sparge to make this a bit easier. I figure doing it is going to be my best teacher:)

It was much harder in my head than when I finally did an all grain. don't overthink it, and you'll be fine. it may take a couple batches to get everything completely dialed in, but even if your off a bit on your first tries, the beer still comes out good.
