You need to post that pic of your daughter again. I've been searching and can't find it. I remember the eyes, though.

No, I'm not stalking her. Yet.:D

Sigh....I'm not sure of the wisdom in doing this.....But I'm very proud of her, so.....

(Oh yes, she is the one on the left, underneath the shoulder parasite thingy)

Nice looking face for sure. Don;t see any evidence of protrusions at all.

The parasite is a cutie too, in a non-HS locker room way. Those blue eyes pierce you.

These have all been stunning gifts for teachers... send them my way... except the parasite thingy. You can keep that. :D

seriously though, nice family gnome.

I know many teachers now have to pay for certain classroom supplies, like photocopies, out of their own pocket...

Yes, they do. I gladly help out in that regard. I don't see the need to give a teacher scented bath oil for Christmas, though.

Of course, my kids announced tonight that they want to give gifts to their teachers.:(

wow...look at those blue eyes! they're as blue as your gnome face (but not quite as creepy)

both beautiful girls. i'm actually going to do the noble thing and remind you to keep your sweethearts away from guys like me ;)

WoW! These chics are hot like Shecky. The obviously underage one excluded. Religious affiliation aside, I don't wanna go to jail. Or to wherever gnomes send people who perv on their kids.

My first crush was on a nun. Boy, I sure wanted to give her a gift.

Kids, especially young kids become emotionally attached to some of their teachers when they are younger, so of course it is on the kids mind to get the teacher a present. Teacher presents don't have to be much though, just something small.

This was my thought too. My kid is tiny-young and she ADORES her teacher. With the economy the way it is, both my wife and I have to work a lot...so in reality, my baby-girl is with her teacher more hours in the waking day than with us! We don't do anything huge. We gave her and her helper a gift card to Barnes and Noble.

What a small thing for us to do that might make someone's day...especially when that someone is responsible for a room full of brats all day. She deserves it! :) I'm not suggesting it should be obligation...I just can't think of a good reason why not to. As long as my kid is getting the point that Christmas should be more about giving than receiving then who am I to argue?

You people are all sick. My teachers were nuns, too, and not one of them were under the age of 97. And every last one of them carried the frustration of a lifetime of chastity into the classroom. And I've got the ruler-scars on my knuckles to prove it. I was too busy ducking to get them gifts.

I haven't needed to gift teachers for some time but I still give cards and a little cash to the mailman and garbage man each year.

SWMBO buys our daughter's teacher a gift cert to the local teacher supply store and daughter makes her an ornament. SWMBO is crafty and it is intended as a classroom decoration. My daughter is in first grade and is what we like to refer to as a 'teacher's pet' or 'brown noser' and absolutely adores her teachers. We don't look at it as a requirement but knowing that they have to spend so much of their own money on supplies and know how much they mean to our daughter, it is the right thing for us to do.

i also had a teacher (a dude) in high school that was really creepy. he would always would put his hand over yours on the mouse and move it around while he exhaled his foul breath over your shoulder and into your face. i kept a stick of gum in my shirt pocket so i could offer it to him on those occasions. he never took it and i wonder if he actually knew what i was doing. what a *******.

Did he at least like the Christmas present you got him?
