getting started

I see that almost every one who kegs there home brew uses the cornelius style kegs. Has anyone tried to use the regular comercial style kegs ? If so, what are the advantages or disadvanages that you have found ? I have been given a few of these kegs. One is a 5 gallon keg. Any info would be helpful.

IIRC: the commercial kegs are madeto be cleaned with cemicals and steam thru special fittings.
More than I want to tackle..

The legal 15.5 gal SS kegs make great HWT and boiling tanks, even Mash tuns.

I've never seen a home brewer who used commercial kegs, as kegs.
