Hydrometer and the new brix has 2 different readings which should i trust? 1.012 with hydrometer,1.025 with the Brix . tested both with plain water and they had same reading

Umm, what? Brix readings are like 3, or 22, not 1.025. Did you already do a conversion?
What are you measuring?
If they both calibrate with distilled water, then - are your samples being measured the same? Like - make sure what you are measuring is mixed, then take a sample form that, and then use it in each device and see what you get. Give numbers before any conversions.

i'll just post a pic to sum it up...
Are you trying to measure the final gravity of your finished beer? If so, you've selected the wrong calculation.
