I understand that the reasoning behind this is to prevent warm beer in the first few drinks. What I don't understand is how the cold air doesn't reach the tower without a fan. It looks like there is a large enough hole for the beer lines to go through, so why wouldn't cold air travel up through the same hole with the lines? I just bought a new mini fridge (Danby DAR440BL model) and I am suddenly getting cold feet about destroying this fridge with a dremel and what ever else tools. I have never done anything like this.
