Gesho?

I am planning to brew a Tej - but have found gesho difficult to locate. Does anybody have any experience with this magical stuff, any advice, more specifically - any ideas for a substitute for it ... thanks

I would look for any African or Ethiopian markets near you and call them.

Thanks Revvy ... No Cal is not exactly a hot spot for ethic markets unfortunately - when I do order I suppose I might as well order a fair amount just in case it turns out well. Never had the T'ej - but Sam's recipe in X Brew sound good and I have had good luck with the 60 min and the Indian Brown so I thought I'd give it a shot.

Any thoughts on similarities between DFHs Raison d'Etre (brewing that this weekend) and Lost Abby's Judgement Day - I have had JD a number of times but Rd'E doesn't often make it this far west as far as I know and in looking at reviews and such it seems they might have some commonalities.
