Hi, I'm new to homebrewing (one batch of extract on the stove), and I'm already collecting equipment for an Electric all grain setup (much like HABS or JunkTrunk). I'm a father of one (so far), and he'll be a year old next month.
Up until last month I only lived 3-4 miles from Surly Brewing's brewery in Brooklyn Center, MN. I've been on the tour several times, and they definitely influenced my interest in making beer. My wife bought me a homebrew kit at Northern Brewer in St Paul as a birthday present.
I'm a geek and not afraid to build things or do some programming, so I'm excited to set something similar to a HABS setup going. I've been reading about Arduino for some time, but have never done any projects with one.
I own Charlie P's book, and I'm planning on picking up Palmer's "How to Brew" as well. Might pickup "Stepping into All Grain" by Basic Brewing as well... I just started listening to the podcast and I've been enjoying it.
