Just got done building this 9" collar with strand woven bamboo sheeting. The outside is so smooth and sleek. Inside is lined with 3/4" insulation, center board with 3-way secondary reg, ss perlick/shanks, the collar fits on top like a glove, easy on/off. The thing looks pro-class, has room to grow upto 5 cornys. Need to brew a third now!!! Rdwhahb

I like it, it looks nice. Is the product called "strand woven bamboo sheeting" and can you get it in darker stains? Where did you buy it?

I got 3x6 1/8" sheets, from a local bamboo store in Portland a few years back. I believe it comes in natural color (what I used I think) and also a carbonized slightly darker color. It's really durably like oak, but does give you lots of tiny splinters if not careful when working with it being strand woven. I still need a drip tray and maybe a fan inside to move the cold air around.

looks good, nice 3 tier setup there as well :mug:

Thanks pannell77! Yes the 3 tier setup is also ok at this point, I call it my micro-nano-nano-nano brewery, it's small time but lots of fun! I'm glad it is at least an all gravity flow ststem. So far one year into the home-brewing hobby with many more years for expansion and growth. I'm glad I get to enjoy the brewing in PDX!
