GE 7 CF (FCM7SUWW) Hinge Covers

Anyone have any tips of getting the top plastic hinge covers to come off?

I got the bottom parts off just fine, but I can't figure out the tops.

IIRC the top and bottom both had a screw holding them on them slid right off. Might've changed though since I did mine.

Actually, I had to just pry them from the top.

I am starting to think that the specs they put up on the website are different from the actual shipping model at this point, however. Or there are some manufacturing variations.

Also, no way to put a nail across the spring like your picture.

Bummer from this and other threads sounds like they have made some changes without changing the model number.

I just bought one from sams holds 5 kegs with a collar just fine.

Oh well. I had to change my plans of a 6" collar to a 10" collar. So, that has added some height to my overall keezer. I may have to rethink my base to try to lower it back down.
