Don't even get me started on tolls.... Now they have it so if you don't have I-pass they charge you double for each toll. Yeah, real fair.

Damn greedy bassturds!!!!!! in AZ you just have to show your gun and your exempt from tolls :) (kidding)

between Sept 15 and Thanksgiving the forecast is for regular gas to be between $2.00 - $2.50

That won't happen here- the taxes alone are almost that much. OK I exaggerate, but not by much.............

What's those 294 tolls paying for anyways?

Sure as hell ain't road repair. We went to a game at Wrigley in April (I think that's the last time the Brewers won a game, BTW), paid the tolls and bitched the whole time about actually having to pay to drive on such s***ty roads. Got back to WI where there are no tolls-only exorbitant gas taxes, see above post- and the roads were a thousand times better. I know, I know, sometimes I think I'd whine if I got hung with an old rope..........:(

Its kind of a crapshoot as to which way gas prices are going to run in the near-term. The days of easy discovery domestically are gone, and dissapearing internationally, so the price of oil production is definately not going down in the long run.

I think its kind of stupid how people get pissed at oil companies for making record profits these days. Its a cyclical business, and they've had a looong stretch of lean years (gas prices have been around a dollar since the 1980s, so the price of gas in real terms has been decreasing until recently). And no, I don't work for an oil company.

Does any one know what gas prices are in MS right now...

I figured i'd add a little fuel no pun.. to the fire... the gas in the desert is rigt at 30 cents a liter if my calculations are correct. I was just downtown last month and saw it... so how much ya'll figure we are paying for shipment?

WOW! i just filled up for $2.49!!! Lowest I've seen in months!

What are prices out your way?

Damn, you got rooked! I filled up the same day for $2.45 at the Farm Fresh on Colesium. :D

Also, they have deals where you can get from $.01-$1.00 per gallon up to 10 gallons. Last week I got 10 gal for $1.64 per!

Saw a good one today, this guy was claiming that gas was cheaper in Europe before taxes than the USA. That meant the US consumer was subsidizing the "Godless French"!

Well, this...

:off: Funny that Bush is calling everyone a fascist nowadays (new buzzword for the GOP according to CNN).

I googled the definition for fascism: A social and political ideology with the primary guiding principle that the state or nation is the highest priority, rather than personal or individual freedoms.

Hmmm, sounds just like Bush's domestic policy...

...end of rant...
We need to keep politics out of this forum so please don't make comments like this.
Having said that, I started a thread shortly after joining that got political and I had to be told to knock it off as well. :mug:

******* Texans! I was still paying ~$2.80 or so when I filled up yesterday. Down a bit from the highs, but still not cheap!

Hell, if I see $2.39 gas, I'll probably fill up the trunk!

Still dropping here. $2.44 when I got to work this morning. So I'll be filling up here and THEN driving home where it's still $2.67 a gallon....

Well it helps being so close to the bulk of the nation's refining capacity and having a very tax adverse population here in Texas :)

You can keep all the refineries, though!

Well, I think everyone's seeing the folly in putting them all in the Gulf Coast region anyways :)

At least I'm not in Houston anymore....

Here in Craig, Alaska I'm paying 3.85$.For boat gas,3.50 per at the fuel dock.I've gotta swallow the auto gas prices to get to work, etc.,but as for the boat,I've put way fewer hours on her this year.Ouch!

$2.51 here, now. Yesterday it was $2.55 . I won't really be impressed until it hits a buck and a quarter and stays that way like it should!

Had to resurrect this thread after I just filled up for $2.15 per gl :mug: and that wasn't in Mexico either.
