I ordered 3 "1/2" O. D. (3/8" i.d.) 304 Stainless Steel - Gas Flex Connectors" with the "3/8"fip x 3/8"fip" connections from http://www.plumbingsupply.com/gasconnectors.html. They are to go between my gas manifold and hurricane burners with "Natural Gas Conversion Kit for Blichmann Floor Burner" on my new single tier. Both the needle valve/orifice and the output from each of the 3 T's in the gas manifold are 3/8" male flare fittings.
The flex lines do not actually come as pictured, as the ends are 1/2" female flare and there is a 1/2" male flare (by 3/8" female flare) that screws in.
The problem is that the threads on the 3/8" female flare are too deep, and when screwed into the 3/8" male flare connected to the manifold (http://www.homedepot.com/p/t/100617...toreId=10051&N=5yc1v&R=100617064#.UUKJGheOSSo), there is still a gap between the flare fittings that are suppose to form the seal.
Did I order the wrong parts? Or is there anything I can (cheaply) do to fix this?
Thanks so much.
