Full Time Brewer

I went ahead and made the plunge to full time brewer at Rahr. I'll make 3k more a year then what I'm making at TI.

So...not to put you on the spot...what does a full time brewer really make?

You can answer or not.

I find that almost anything I do after I retire will be a hell of a pay cut.

I looked into Dogfish Head when they were looking for a brewer. It was in the mid 20's. I didn't bother. Maybe if I was in my early 20s!

That's what I thought...that's about a 70% pay cut for me...

Yeah its not much at all. I don't want to list an exact amount but its in the upper 20k range. Personaly I'm happy about it though since I am only 27 and single with a roommate and its more than I'm making now at Texas Instruments. Being a brewer is a labor of love. Its not about making a lot of money or being famous.
