Full Bodied, Big Taste, Low Alcohol?

Lately, all the beers I like the best (ales, any style) also have the most alcohol, and I don't really want or need the alcohol. Can anybody recommend a commercial beer that has full body, great big taste, and low alcohol?

Go to a liquor warehouse, (we have Spec's here in Texas) and look through their selection of English Ales. I've seen several of those with a low alcohol (< 4%) level. I was told years ago that the alcohol was low because they were taxed by it's amount. Don't know if that's true, but I have seen several English Ales with lower alcohol. Let us know what you find.
