So I've heard people compare the flavor of Leinenkugel's sunset wheat to fruity pebbles plenty of times. Well, last night I picked up on a very similar flavor character in Red Hook Copper Hook.

What the hell is that?? Is it a hop character or some kind of fruit flavoring??

I'm curious about this as well. I would suspect that it would be something along the lines of a mildly warm fermentation with certain yeast strains... but I'm only a novice brewer.

Strange, I used to drink copper hook often and never associated any flavors with fruitiness. It does sound like an off flavor (aka a mistake in the brewing process).

I mean it's all there. The whole fruit punch round of flavors. Cheezy is right, though, the beer is artificially flavored.

It's blueberry flavoring. Durango Brewery's blueberry wheat has the same Fruity Pebbles taste.
