fruit lager. when to diacetyl rest?

Hi all.

I am currently making a lager and will be adding fresh raspberries and blackberries to it. Should I perform the diacetyl (pardon my spelling ) rest before I add the fruit, or add the fruit, ferment the sugars, and then perform the diacetyl rest?
