I’ve been aging a lager for a few months in a temp controlled fridge with a brewers heating pad and ink bird temp controller. They have also been inside 2 5 gallon big mouth bubblers.
Well last weekend I brewed an ale and needed the fermentation fridge so I moved the lagers into another fridge and set the temp in the middle setting. I looked today and the 2 bubblers are frozen solid. But at the same time the 2 bottled beers that are in the same fridge and 2 packs of yeast are not. So my questions are
1) how is that possible. I pit kegs in the same fridge and they don’t freeze.
2) is my lager messed up?
