Granted, things weren't ideal. I pitched Nottingham that was exp in 09. That threw no krausen for over 48 hours so I repitched newer yeast and it gave a thick krausen which lasted a day. I checked the gravity thinking it was a stalled ferment only to find the beer had finished.
Temp was 15 C
How?????

My guess it that it did a fair amount of the fermentation with the 09 yeast. I would also double check to make sure your last reading was accurate. I could have finished but that is not to say it is ready. Leave it alone for another 10-14 days or longer then make sure it is truly at FG then you can bottle or keg.
