I go outside to check my mail. Only to find 2 5-gal Deer Park bottles sitting outside my door. I have never ordered water. There's no tags or labels. I'm actually very confused. Wondering if I should accept the gift as I was already planing to brew 2 5-gallon extract batches today. Or call to have the guy come pick them up (I know this is the real answer). I really don't feel like dealing with this.

I've been here all day too. They must not have knocked, but I didn't even hear anyone outside the door (its a small apartment I usually hear everything). I just hate when really confusing stuff like this happens and you have to waste time dealing with it.

Brew with the water and play dumb. "What water are you talking about? I didn't order any water."

It's a sign. 2 5 gallon batches planned, 2 5 gallon jugs of water...

Brew with it then fill em back up with tap water just in case they come back for them...

you are not obligated to return them, unless they were not addressed to you.

I'm just saying, if you're worried about the HASSLE, give them a call, say they were dropped off erroneously, leave them outside and forget about it, you're done.

Could you use them? Sure - but you KNOW there's a good chance they'll come looking for them, then you're going to have to deal with that. Could you argue it's not stealing? Sure - but then you have to argue, and you already said you don't want the hassle.

Least hassle = one thirty-second phone call, "hi, this is *** at ***, someone dropped off two bottles of water that I didn't order, goodbye."

Is it worth the PITA for $10 of "free" water?

Its now been 10 days and they still have yet to pick up the water bottles. I assume they are waiting for another delivery in the area. I think I may claim them before my HOA gives me crap.

We get Deer Park water delivered at work. There should have been an invoice slip that was attached to the bottles, if not it's a sign from god that he wants you to brew. Deer Park bottles are also FDA rated #1 which means you can use them like better bottles. Brew my child, brew. Ahmen.

Your storage fee at this point must equal the value of the water. Brew with it and give them the empties should they ever come around.

If anyone in the northern VA area wants 2 FREE 5-gallon #7 water bottles PM me. For those times when you need a secondary in a pinch and your BB is full? They are empty.

I already have 2 + 2 BB and have no need for these.
