The last couple of days, while inspecting my hops plants, I've noticed that something has been eating at one of the lower leaves.
This morning, I found a small worm on the leaf. It WAS about an inch long, a greenish-white, with a couple of green stripes on it.
Does anybody have any idea what that might have been ? Is it something I need to worry about ? If so, what can I do to eliminate the problem for the rest of the season ?

Anything like this?

If so - it's a Green Cloverworm (moth larvae). I'd go with the hand pick method that you already used - they shouldn't reach infestation levels...

On the other hand a toothpick used as a pike with the little bugger impaled near the base of the plant might...naaaah. Probably not...

I belive the stripes were a darker green. Next time I find one, I'll take a second before I squish it and take a pic.
