Hi, I'm making a batch of beer right now and I put in the LME, DME, and aroma hops. I got done boiling it, cooling it, and putting it in the fermenter, and then noticed I forgot to use the crushed chocolate and caramel malt (which is a dry extract). What is that going to do to my batch? Is it not going to work? I noticed the morning after brewing, my bubbler was bubbling and then the next day it already stopped. I don't know if there's something wrong with my batch. Is that normal?

I called the store I bought it at and asked the owner and he thinks it's going to be OK. Maybe a little plainer batch and he doesn't think it's a big deal it stopped fermenting so soon. Just wondering what other's opinions are.

RELAX. It's fine. All it means is you have a different recipe than you intended. And don't worry about the airlock - not a reliable indicator of yeast activity.

Post your full recipe (actual & intended) and we can give you an idea of what to expect.
