When I picked up my ingredients for my brew tonight I forgot to pick up a couple of hop sacks for my whole hop additions. Will it be a problem racking the beer to my fermenter? I plan on using a siphon with no filter. Is it OK if the hops end up in the fermenter?

Its not big deal, just try to rack around it. Do you have any muslin bags a (used for tea) or cheesecloth or the like around? You can use those

Just avoid the hops when siphoning. If you have an autosiphone w/the cap on the end you're not going to suck up any whole hops anyway. Just whirlpool the wort when chilling, then let it sit for a good 20-30 mins before racking to primary. Siphon from the edge and you'll avoid the hops.

yeah I just got an auto siphon with the cap :D

+1 ... Whats a hop bag ?? :drunk:

never had an issue not using one.
I used it on my first brew, it was a almost cheese cloth like bag.
well I'm just about to start my boil so wish me luck. On a side note I tried my first beer that I brewed today, it was a little low on the carbonation (its only been 12 days) and it was delicious :D
