Looking for a good food-grade garden hose I can use for strike / sparge water, etc.

Suggestions?

I use a white RV drinking water hose. Works great, no hose water flavor/aroma.

Remember that a 'food grade' hose is different than a drinking water hose. You could likely filter and use a DW hose for what you note above.

You could make your own with a hose repair kit & vinyl tubing that is what the exit hose on my wort chiller is.

Although I don't know if there is anything in the metal of the hose fitting you may want to avoid you may want to look into that.

Why not just fill a pitcher from the sink? I don't know that I would want my strike water coming out of a garden hose.

If you want to save a boatload of cash you can use a hose that is rated for drinking water. Food grade is quite expensive.

I use this:

With a charcoal cartridge.

THANK YOU for posting this - I bought some hose for drinking water at lowes, paid twice as much, I had to buy two 25' lengths, it kinks horribly, and after a couple years it has developed all these splits that spray water everywhere during filtering and chilling.

Totally gonna buy one of these, and as a final insult to my other hose I'll flush it down the toilet one foot at a time.
