I was getting a lot of foam from my kegerator so i read a couple threads and thought my beer line was too short. I had a 5ft line and replaced it with a 10ft line but the foaming hasnt changed. I have it at about 40deg and 10psi. To force carb the beer i just set it at 12psi for 4-5 days before drinking it. Is there any other things that could be effecting this? What other steps should i be taking to troubleshoot this?

Any help would be appreciated.

When i first open the tap, it is very foamy for a second or two, then it calms down and pours fine. Ive been keeping a cup nearby to catch the foamy stuff first, then quickly switch glasses so i dont end up with a glass full of foam.

this used to happen to me, for me the solution was a fan to move around inside and keep the hoses cold. Since you are clearing up after a few ounces I assume you are having the same issue. The beer coming out of the bottom of your keg is much colder than the line it is passing through. That warming is causing co2 to break out of solution. By running a fan it helps cut down on the temperature stratification.

Ok, that makes sense. I have a mini-fridge i converted with a tower on it, so should i be more concerned with the beer line in the tower or the beer line still in the fridge? I can see the beer line in the tower getting warm, but the beer line in the fridge still should be cold enough, no?

What kind of fan did you use and how did you power it? Is there another way i can keep the beer line in the tower cold besides using a fan? Could i get some kind of lines with glycol in them that i could run up into the tower?
