Hi all,
My first post on this forum but I have done plenty of lurking for a while!

I have a question about my second brew:

This is Tom Caxton Best Bitter malt extract kit from a tin.
Made on 30th January this year (20 litres).
After fermentation stopped at around 10 days I dispensed into 4 x 5 litre demijohns.
I have since carefully enjoyed 3 of the 4 and today popped the cork off my final lot, only to see this:

I have the demijohn filled to the neck and the bits are on the surface, so there's only a small amount of bits. The white dots on the shoulders of the bottle are just marks in the glass surface.
Admittedly the cork wasn't in there all that tight.
I had no choice about dispensing from under the surface without mixing it up so I just went ahead and poured it into 5 x 1 litre bottles.

So what do I have here and is it safe to drink? It smells OK?

Cheers,
Scott

I was trying to make up my mind if they were yeast rafts,or cold break. Cold break typically looks like wet popcorn.
