Hello HBT! I've been scouring all the forums and postings for the last 18 months and can't thank you all for the great advice and interesting commentary. Regretfully, my first posting is one of failure... I'm seeking help to resolve an issue that thus far has been quite elusive. Let me explain:

Last week I went to the kegerator to pour a tasty brown ale that was, until this point, crystal clear. I noticed that it had a few floaties that I attributed to some yeast or trub that had made it's way in during racking (however, the first half of the keg poured beautifully). I decided that it should settle, and gave it another week without tugging the tap. After another week, the floaties had taken over and filled every pint! Since noticing the the initial wave of unwelcome floaters, the beer has developed an off-putting root beerish flavor and is now less visually appealing than a blow-off container. I'm presently pouring the batch and sanitizing everything that even rested on top off my kegerator.

My guesses at this point are wild and ungrounded:

1. Missed something during routine cleaning and found a bug that hates oxygen and loves cold temperatures.

or....

2. Got too cocky after a couple hundred gallons and the beer fairy is trying to teach me a lesson in humility.

Thoughts?
