Thank you! I picked up 4 cases. If you get enough cases, shipping is offered at the much lower flat rate. Not sure how many are required. It wasn't there for 2 cases but was for 4. Shipping went from $20+ to $5.99.

Bummer. Maybe the lower flat rate only applies to certain states? Mine went to "Texas flat rate." Sorry it didn't work that way for you too.

Adding: Mystery solved. Mine shipped from in-state. Apparently AIH is associated with Austin Homebrew, so they shipped from there instead of Michigan. And are arriving today!
