I have a imperial stout box kit from brewers best fermenting. i am thinking about adding chocolate and orange flavours and letting it sit for a while. Any thoughts...

I won't recommend it unless you've already have made a batch and you know how it turns out. any sugar in the chocolate will ferment out and you will just be left with the bitterness. there should already be chocolate malt in the package that will give you a hint of chocolate. I don't have any experience with orange flavors but the idea doesn't sit well with me. i don;t think it would taste any good. if you do put orange in your beer use the very outside of an orange peel. and let me know how it turns out
