I am currently on day 3 of my first fermentation and have a few questions I haven't seen answered in past threads. I will be bottling soon and want to do a second fermentation. Will empty beer bottles cleaned and capped work or will they likely explode? Also I am interested in making mango cumin KT and was reading in past posts that ground cinnamon turns into an icky slimy mess. Does anyone have experience with cumin? Thanks!

Capped beer bottles will not explode because they have KT in them; they will explode if they also have too much pressure. Your pressure will come from residual sugars and added fermentables. I have yet to experience an exploding swing top, I don't use capped 12oz, we go through bottles too quickly.
Yes cinnamon makes stringy goop. I would expect any powder to act the same until I discover otherwise. Put some in one bottle and see what happens. If you hate it, you wouldn't want a whole case of it anyway.

Yeah, I'm worried that they wouldn't be able to withstand the pressure and pop. Good call on the one bottle at a time idea.
