Hello all so I just got a grainfather and did my first batch I skipped a part in the mash due to inexperience and not writing down everything. It called for Saccharification at 148 F. For 75 min the part I missed was the 10 min at 165 f just wanted your thoughts on what I can expect. everything went great with the brew and fermentation is good thanks

The 165 is a mashout...many don't mashout unless they are fly sparking so I wouldn't worry too much about it!

Congrats on the brew!

The part you missed is called the mash out and it's not a big deal that you missed it. The purpose of a mash out is to denature the enzymes responsible for converting sugars. After you denature them, you won't have to worry about further sugar conversion, messing with the ratio of fermentable and unfermentable sugars you worked so hard to obtain at 148 for 75 min. Some people may tell you that a mash out is not necessary but with a prolonged sparging process, you will likely get more conversion that you didn't plan for so you make the call.
