As the title says I would like to try a stout. I am fairly new when it comes to stouts. I don't really care for Guinnes as it just seems bland to me. I wouldn't have even considered brewing a stout until last week when I tried another homebrewers "irish stout". I don't know anything about the recipe but I liked it. The main thing I liked about it is that it actually had a slight hop character to it, which I didn't thing was normal for a stout. With that in mind, lets hear what you have! I only brew extract right now so keep that in mind.

All my recipes are at home but check the recipe section of this forum. If you like a hopier stout look for a Amercian style stout. "Irish stout" is usually a dry style stout with a lower ABV, like a session beer (Just like Guinness) Happy hunting.
