Hi everyone, I just racked my first batch of skeeter pee into the carboy for almost the last time. I am at the step where you add 1/2 tsp of kemta and 2 1/2 of the sorbate. I got bumfuzzeled and did the degas after I added the sorbate and kemta. It foamed up a lot. Did I screw it up doing it this way, I used a drill with a home made stirring rod.

Hi Tinbeers - Not sure that it really matters if you degas after you stabilize or before, You want to stabilize before back sweetening and you want to degas before you bottle but both back sweetening and degassing should be done when the wine is clear and ready for bottling. That said, degassing will result in a great deal of foam.
