Good evening guys I have a partial mash oatmeal stout I am wondering on for just something to try my hand at building my own stout.

What do you think. It is a partial mash recipe.

Looks really solid, I'd probably use some more oats but that's just personal preference. It's pretty hard to get oats to come through anyway, toasting them in the oven is nice though if you have the time.

I was thinking using the oats as a body enhancer and to also make it creamy not so much as flavor if that makes sense... Just as a curious what would you suggest for the amount of oats if it was you?

I use about 12 oz for 5 gallons in my recipe, it's one I've made for years. But ya it actually does more for the mouthfeel than the taste.

I second upping the oat content. 12-16oz for 5gal is my sweetspot regarding increased mouthfeel while imparting minimal flavor.
