Hi All. I've listed my first ever recipe. An Ale that I'll be dubbing O'Tony's Irish Red if it turns out. Let me know your suggestions. Thanks!

3 Gallon-BIAB

OG: 1.052
FG: 1.013
ABV: 5.1%
IBU: 22.6
SRM: 15.7

5 lbs Maris Otter
12 oz CaraAroma
4 oz Peat Smoked Malt

.70 oz Fuggles @60
.30 oz Strisslespalt @30

SafAle S-04 English Ale Yeast

I'd call this a smoke beer more than an irish red.

I get closer to 27 IBUs and 18.5 SRM with those grains and hops.

Thanks for the help. I enjoy Scotch when the mood suits me but maybe 4oz of peat smoked is too much

I'd do the recipe, I'd just call it O'Tony's Smoke Beer. Maybe cut it back to 1 or 2 oz. Peat malt is really strong.

My favorite scotch is Laphroaig. It's nice and smoky.
