So in a couple days I'll be attempting my first PM. I've read up on how to do it and I've found so many different methods, so now I'm a bit confused. I have a 10 gallon brew kettle with ball valve, an igloo tun with a bazooka filter, and another 10 gallon brew kettle (with no valve). Would the proper procedure be to heat up some water in my kettle (without ball valve), put my grain into the tun, and then dump the hot water in the tun over the grains? After that I would let the grains mash for some time in the tun. But then what next? How would I sparge in the tun??

Or should I heat up water in my kettle with a valve, put the grains in it, then transfer to tun through the valve??
