hello all wiser than I,

Here a recipe that I've been wanting to try. Let me know what you think of the ingredients. Wanna make sure this isn't going to be over the top. I also BIAB.

Never used beet juice in an IIPA, but it seems like it'd work for interesting color. Kinda want to try it. Grain bill looks good. I personally like around 3 oz of hops after flameout (usually a stand at 160 deg for 30 min) for my big IPAs, and a second dry hop. But I like the hop choices you made. Should be tasty!
 
Yeah the red purplish color is what I'm going for kinda plays into the name

resurrecting an old thread!! here is the final recipe for this IIPA. it turned out really good hoppy as hell and at 10.2% you could probably clean paint with it. haha. let me know what you think

mash was at 149-150
recorded OG 1.089 FG 1.012 abv 10.2%

about the beet juice I roasted about 3 medium beets in the oven until soft like a potato and then added them to a food processor and made a juice out of them and then strained that and brought up to 160 degrees for about 15 minutes to pasteurize it. I ended with about 2 cups

yeah the beer is super hoppy the only thing that I would change would be use 2 dry hopping additions to get that hop blast in the glass
