So I've started my first cider tonight

5 gal. of Costco fresh pressed apple juice
5 lbs. of Costco clover honey
1/2 tsp wyeast cider nutrient
1 pack K1-V1116 cider yeast

Used the first gallon to warm the honey on the stove top to make it an easier pour, 4 gallons into carboy w the wyeast and cider yeast after. Blowoff and a nice dark room temp closet to end my first cider, nothing eccentric, but I've made some excellent beers and meads by keeping it simple. Updates as the world turns.......

OG was 1.08 I'm really hopin for around 9-10% abv on this. My last was a mead that is being called a liqueur by friends, it's too damn potent to be anything else.

Update. Still bubbling away nice every thirty seconds or so. Mhhmmmmmm. Patience......

Tribes to secondary and topped off for an extra appley kick.
