For my first BIAB attempt I'd like to brew up a delicious IPA using the hops I already have; magnum, cascade, centennial, amarillo, citra, and simcoe. Would also like to use WLP001 CA Ale yeast. Aiming for 6+% abv as well.

I have an 11 gal kettle and would like to end up with 5-5.5gal of wort in the fermenter. I also have corn sugar, cane sugar, and DME I could add to boost OG/reduce grain bill if necessary.

Any good suggestions for a beginner IPA recipe? I have done 6 batches so far, all extract, one of which was full boil.

Im doing back to back BIAB this weekend. It will be my first try but i wanted to try it out.

My IPA gravity is going to be 1.069, and my Robust Porter will be in the 1.063 range. According to the calculator ill need approximately 10 gallons of space. But I am ending up with 6 gallons in the end.

I calculated 70% efficiency and plan to double crush and let the bag drain as much as possible. Hopefully I can hit it.

I've had very good luck with the zombie dust clone recipe and BIAB. I've varied the hops while keeping the grain bill the same

That's a good way to use up all of my Citra hops. I won't have enough though, I'll need to substitute, perhaps dry hop with something else, Simcoe maybe.

I did something similar:

12lbs of 2-row
1lb - 10L
1lb of 40L
1lb of briess

1oz magnum at 60
3 oz of citra at 20
3 oz at flame out or 5 mins (gut call)

came out really yummy, I am sure I will get flamed for wrong fermentables but I did that and it worked. It is a tasty brew. Citra is a great hop. I used a dry yeast, but Cal Ale will work fine.

I'd go with the magnum to bitter and I'd do an ounce of Simcoe at 30min and 15min and two ounces of citra at 15 then dry hop with 2 ounces simcoe and citra each.

I brewed an IPA two months ago with the exact same hop schedule but I used warrior instead of magnum. It sucks spending so much on hops, but it's totally worth it. The citra gives it an incredible tropical fruit flavor and aroma.

I think some amarillo at 30min would also go good with this.
